Y-Combinator features the Carbon Rover

A lot has happened since Carbon Crusher joined Y Combinator.

Roads are the world’s largest physical asset, yet we still rebuild them with a process that’s slow, expensive, and carbon-intensive.

So we built the Carbon Rover: an AI-enabled, rapid deployment, autonomous road recycling machine that crushes damaged roads, mixes in biogenic carbon, and rebuilds them stronger and faster than before. The result:

• 4× stronger roads

• Rapid deployment and construction

• Lower construction costs

• Net-negative emissions

One Rover completes 8 hours of work in 4. Three Rovers can refurbish miles of road in a single night instead of the 4–5 days required by conventional methods.

We’ve validated the technology everywhere from the Arctic mountains of Norway to the deserts of Arizona. And the impact scales fast.

Just six Rovers operating at 50% utilization could remove 1 megaton of CO₂ within two years. Each Rover has the potential to sequester up to 940 tons of CO₂ per day while rebuilding critical infrastructure.

We’re not just fixing roads. We’re turning road construction into a carbon removal industry.
